In SAS Web Report Studio, you can create a horizontal series bar chart. If multiple categories are included in the horizontal series axis, you might get unexpected results when sorting on the bar value. In the following example, the horizontal series axis includes Region, Division, and Product. Product Type is assigned to the Bars.

If you sort Product Type in ascending order, then Product sorting is inconsistent, as shown in the following example. Specifically, in the Eastern region, Product is sorted as Bed, Chair, Desk, Sofa, Table; while, in the Western region, Product is sorted as Bed, Sofa, Chair, Desk, Table. To circumvent the problem, you must also sort Product in ascending order.
